3. AI Processing

When you use AI features, relevant inputs may be sent to AI service providers. This may include meal photos, voice recordings, food logs, calories, macros, goals, partner rhythm, dietary preferences, allergies or foods to avoid, health context you entered, and the question or prompt you submit.

You can disable AI data sharing in the app's Privacy settings. If AI sharing is disabled, AI Coach, AI food recognition, AI voice logging, AI recipe analysis, and similar AI features may be unavailable or limited.

AI features are for general wellness and convenience only. They are not medical, dietitian, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency advice.

4. Partner Visibility and Sharing

Coupleats is built around partner accountability. Depending on your settings and the feature you use, your partner may see meal logs, daily progress, remaining calories, water progress, weight visibility if enabled, steps or activity summaries, reactions, nudges, check-ins, shared meal plans, shopping lists, challenges, commitments, free meal pass requests, and couple reports.

You can manage partner visibility, private mode, AI sharing, and weight sharing from the app's privacy controls where available. Some shared couple features require limited shared information to work.

5. Health Data

If you grant permission, Coupleats may read steps and active calories from Apple HealthKit or Android Health Connect to show daily movement alongside meal and calorie progress. Coupleats does not sell HealthKit or Health Connect data and does not use that data for advertising.

6. Service Providers

We may process information with service providers that help operate Coupleats, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions; Expo for notifications and app services; RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play for purchases and subscription status; AI providers for AI features you use; Sentry or similar tools for diagnostics; and email or support tools for user requests.

7. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce terms, provide support, and process export or deletion requests. Some technical logs and transaction records may be retained where required for security, accounting, legal, or app store compliance.
